Today I bring to you a card created for Global Design Project<\/a><\/strong> #GDP189. If you have a minute, take a little trip over to their blog and check out what so many creative designers are up to with this challenge. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I love love love challenges, mostly because they typically take me in a direction that isn’t the norm. The color challenges create another challenge for me with in themselves, a lot of times I do not have a color in the challenge in one form or fashion, so I have to figure out how to incorporate the lacking color. For this challenge, I did not have Pineapple Punch in cardstock or in a stamp pad, however, to the rescue came the Stampin’ Blends Combo of Pineapple Punch! <\/p>\n\n\n

To start, I chose to use Crafting Forever stamp set. Once that decision was made, I thought sticking with the “crafty” theme was a great idea so I decided to use a Water color back ground. I created the background using Coastal Cabana Ink and Gorgeous Grape Ink on water color paper with Aqua Painters. Once that was created, dried, retouched and dried again, I decided to go with a Coastal Cabana mat below the watercolor piece. I attached the watercolor piece to the mat using tear n tape, which I feel is necessary to keep the water color paper flat. I find the water color paper can still warp a bit if attached with liquid glue. Once together, I placed that combo on top of a Whisper White Thick card base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
