Hello everyone, thanks so much for stopping by today. I bring to you a card created for CAS Colours & Sketches <\/a><\/strong>Challenge #321 a sketch challenge. There was a little flexibility with interpretation which is what makes the sketch challenges so much fun. I oriented my card a little differently than the sketch, I went with the typical style card which opens from the right side (similar to this sketch) but taller – 8-1\/2″ x 5-1\/2″ scored at 4-1\/4″. The card base uses Whisper White Thick card stock. <\/p>\n\n\n

On the front of the card I cut two triangles from 6″x6″ Subtle DSP in Highland Heather. Then from some scrap Sparkle Glimmer Paper I was able to mimic the triangles and just down sized a bit. I used the scrap triangles from the DSP to create a spray of color coming out from under the fairy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I finally selected New Wonder, which will be a new release for Stampin’ Up! with the release of their new 2019-2020 Annual Catalog. The image I selected from New Wonder was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a scrap of Whisper White Card Stock, I colored her hair with the Balmy Blue Stampin’ Markers Combo, then her Dress in Highland Heather Stampin’ Markers Combo. Her sweet face I colored with Ivory Stampin’ Blends and highlighted her cheek with Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blend. I dusted her hair, dress, wings and the stars with Wink of Stella. The pen was colored with Bronze and Light Smokey Slate Stampin’ Blends. I used a stitched oval die to cut her from the whisper white card. I then attached some jewels to her skirt for MORE sparkle. – After all, I do look at her as a fairy – and they have to sparkle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
