Hello everyone, thank you so much for stopping to visit today!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today I have for you a card I created long ago, but it never saw the light of day, beyond my craft room! I loved it so much, I hung it up in my craft room for beautiful inspiration, and there it hung until I realized it could actually fit the criteria for this challenge from Global Design Project<\/a><\/strong> Challenge 191 #GDP191 with the Theme: Bees, Birds and Butterflies. So here it is, Abstract Impressions move out of the basement and goes Global! If there is time to spare, it will be a treat to pop of to their website and see what so many other talented designers have shared for this challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To me Butterflies are just magical, the little bitty bodies carried by huge graceful wings drifting through the air, following the breeze where ever that may go. So playful. So Colorful. Put them in a beautiful blooming garden, gorgeous. For this card I took the magical beauty route by using some Sparkle Glimmer Paper to represent the morning dew on a blooming Springtime garden. If I am not mistaken these two sets were part of my Starter Kit when I started as a Demonstrator for Stampin’ Up! in January. Butterflies also have sentimental meaning to me that is near and dear to my heart. Unfortunately, several years ago, my sister found herself forced to have a still birth. It crushed us all. To commemorate the loss of sweet little Lily, everyone in our family set free loads of butterflies. Butterflies also symbolize Gods precious gift to us all – Life, beauty and grace. To me they also represents Lily’s little spirit floating by checking in and to visit with us all.<\/p>\n\n\n

The color scheme I used for this card is a Night of Navy card base, topped with a Flirty Flamingo Card stock fussy cut to match the huge corner floral die from Springtime Impressions Thinlit dies. On the Flirty Flamingo card stock, I stamped in Flirty Flamingo, Old Olive and Wisteria inks some floral images from the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set in the vicinity a flower would fall from the die cut to provide some additional color to the garden. Then I attached with Liquid Adhesive the Sparkle Glimmer Die cut from Springtime Impressions to the Flirty Flamingo cardstock. I die cut some sprigs of greenery from another set that I cannot recall or find at the moment! If it finally comes to me, during a peaceful moment – as typically is the case, I will definitely post it below. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Butterflies were cut from the Botanical Butterfly DSP, that is now retired, using the Butterfly Duet Punch. I adhered everything to the front of the Night of Navy Card base. I just love the way it feels and looks. On the inside I stamped on a piece of Whisper White a sentiment from Butterfly Gala Stamp set and adhered a tiny butterfly in the lower corner also using the Botanical Butterfly DSP and the Butterfly Duet Punch. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
