I have another creation for the CAS Colour and Sketch Challenges<\/a><\/strong> group Sketch Challenge #323<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since school is out and summer is here, without question, here in Alabama – I have created a bright summery card. We get a lot of Sunshine in this area, during the summer so the sentiment needed to reflect that. What better than the word Sunshine. Summer flowers are also bright and happy so I had to use flowers for the embellishment. The color scheme is also quite bright and summery with purples, reds and yellows.<\/p>\n\n\n

This card came together pretty quickly for me, once I got the notion in my head of where to go and what to do. I started with a Daffodil Delight card base. Using the Big Shot, I created the sentiment – die cutting the word Sunshine 3 times from Whisper White card, glued those 3 pieces to together, then die cut 1 more word from Sparkle Glimmer Paper. I adhered the finished die cut word to a piece of Vellum. I cut several flowers using the Bitty Bloom Punches. I adhered them onto the vellum around the word as suggested in the sketch, and I used an additional flower as the dot (also called the tittle) above the “i”. Using the spaces behind the elements already on the vellum, I applied more liquid adhesive on the backside of the vellum under those spots to attach the vellum to the card base. So Bright, fun and happy! I love how this card turned out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
