Today I have a card created to answer a theme challenge I took on from Inspire.Create.Challenge #045 | Theme Challenge<\/a><\/strong>. The Theme for this challenge is Embossing. For this card, I definately wanted the various methods of embossing to do all the talking. I tried to keep it fairly simply. The card base is a top folding Whisper White Thick 5-1\/2″ x 4-1\/4″ card. The mat is a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock I ran through my machine using the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder<\/a><\/strong>. On the Crumb cake the embossed words were very hard to make out, so I “distressed” the words a bit by going over them with a sponge dauber using Soft Suede Ink so they would stand out a bit more. Once the Crumb Cake embossing was highlighted to my I satisfaction, I ran a piece of Purple Posy through the machine with the Country Floral DTIEF<\/a><\/strong>. I then cut it down to a smaller size to fit the front and show off more of the script embossing. To soften the seam of the Purple Posy embossed piece, I placed a 6″ length of Rococo Rose Linen Ribbon<\/a><\/strong> over the top seam, wrapped around to the back and attached with double sided tape.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Rose and leaves are from the To a Wild Rose Bundle<\/a><\/strong>. The rose image is a 3 step stamp. I stamped the outline in full strength Rococo Rose Ink. The solid fill is stamped off (2nd generation) Rococo Rose. The 3rd step is the detail or shading of the image, I used full strength Rococo Rose. I stamped the leaves from the same set on Crumb Cake card stock, using Crumb Cake Ink. Using the coordinating dies, I ran the images through the die cutting machine. Using a scrap piece of Crumb Cake cardstock, I embossed a sentiment from Tropical Chic Stamp<\/a><\/strong> set in Copper, then ran the strip through the die cutting machine using a Rectangle Stitched Framelit Die<\/a><\/strong>. Once all the pieces had been cut and arranged, I used Liquid adhesive to keep them together. The ensemble was then attached to the front of the card using dimensionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
