Today I have a creation inspired by the theme challenge at TGIF Challenges,<\/a><\/strong> this is challenge #TGIFC218. The theme is Sympathy and unfortunately I found it a timely challenge. A very dear friend to our family lost his father last week to cancer. So this card already has someone to hug.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I LOVE Sunflowers and Daisies run a very close second. Sunflowers are such an earthy, rugged, tolerant beauty. Sunflowers and Daisies are happy flowers but yet homey enough to be comforting. They have the ability to just make me smile, they make me happy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

To create this card, I started with Painted Harvest Stamp set. All images come together in 2-3 steps of stamping. On Whisper White cardstock, the base layer of the Sunflower is stamped in Mango Melody. The petals are the second step image, these are a stamped off version of Cajun Craze. The sunflower center image is a stamped off Early Espresso. The dots also come in the set and are stamped in full strength Early Espresso. The leaves are also a 2 step process. The first layer is stamped in Old Olive then I stamped it a 2nd time for a lighter layer. The second leaf image the veining, stamped is Mossy Meadow full strength and then again the second generation is stamped for the lighter cluster. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
