This card starts with a standard side folding card base cut from 8-1\/2″ x 11″ Blueberry Bushel card stock to 5-1\/2″ x 8-1\/2″ scored at 4-1\/4″.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The front mat is a piece of Designer Series Paper from the See a Silhouette DSP that I felt completely reflected a very starry evening sky at the beach. To that mat I layered the Palm Tree Die from the Friendly Silhouette Dies using Mossy Meadow, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake and Silver foil. Once those elements were attached I heat embossed the young girl looking at the stars with her telescope and the sentiment from Silhouette Scenes in white on top of it all. I tried to give the Crumb Cake layer the look\/texture of sand by using the sand image from the High Tide Stamp set with Versamark Ink. This “finished” off the front.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For stability reasons, I attached a solid piece of fun foam to the back of the mat and then attached the finished mat to a mat of a slightly larger piece of Whisper White Card Stock. The fun foam really adds a stability\/strength to the front layer that feels good in hand (if that makes any sense). The layers were then adhered to the card base with Tear-N-Tape. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
