This post brings to you a card inspired by the sketch challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches<\/a><\/span><\/strong> Sketch Challenge #344.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I felt an overwhelming need to head back to the Annual Catalog and settle in with a very familiar, and ultimate favorite set, Free as a Bird. They were calling me, as it were.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These birds and this layout popped into my mind the second I saw the sketch, so had to go with it. Love, Love Love this set. Petal Pink is the card base (11″ x 4-1\/4″ scored at 5-1\/2″) and mat. The border at the bottom of the Whisper White “mat” was created with one of the dies from the Delicate Lace Edgelit dies, then adhered with liquid glue to the card base,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The image of the birds on a branch is frame the Free as a Bird stamp set, “fussy cut” with my Cricuit! No fuss here! \ud83d\ude09 The bird image is rendered with Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends Combo Marker Pack and Pool Party Stampin’ Blends Combo Marker Pack. Additional Stampin’ Blends Markers were Crumb Cake Combo pack, Seaside Spray, Melon Mambo and Old Olive, then adhered to the Petal Pink mat die cut with the Stitched Rectangle dies.<\/p>\n\n\n

On a scrap piece of Whisper White is the Sentiment “Birthday Wishes” from the Itty Bitty Greeting Stamp set, stamped in Delicata Golden Glitz Ink from the Holiday Catalog. Then die cut with My Favorite Things Fishtail tag die, then adhered to the Petal Pink mat with liquid glue. The finished unit was then attached to the Whisper White frilly edge piece with dimensionals for a bit more lift and interest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The inside is simply lined with a piece of Whisper White.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
