This is such a beautiful suite of products, Parisian Blossoms Suite<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. Amour. This Suite includes 2 bundles, Forever Blossoms Bundle<\/a><\/span><\/strong> and the Parisian Beauty Bundle<\/a><\/span><\/strong>. This card works predominately with the Parisian Beauty Bundle but also uses the ribbon and Specialty Designer Series Paper from the Suite. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My husband and I traveled to Paris several years ago, definitely one of those bucket list items, however once its scratched off it keeps finding its way back to the list. Paris is beautiful, just as the pictures and your dreams portray it. The French people were extremely nice to us so we had a good experience all around. The one memory I can not get out of my is the Eifle Tower. We could see it from our hotel room, one day we toured around the grounds and went to the top, one evening we ate dinner at the foot of the Eifle Tower. While we were there they had lights scattered about the structure and they would sparkle at various times, so beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

So beautiful! Loved it there. The first photo is the view from the Arc de Triomphe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For this card I chose the mixed media\/Art Journal road by creating my own background using the Very Versailles stamp set from the Annual Catalog. I stamped the handwritten text image in Basic Gray and the leafy branch image in Old Olive around a piece of water color paper, then pushed it back with a bit of White Gesso, allowed that to dry. On a silicone mat I laid down a bit of Petal Pink ink, watered it down then pressed it into the watercolor paper in various places, allowed that dry, then did it again to get the various depths of color. After it dried completely, I stamped the handwritten text a few more times to get more texture and depth. It is very subtle and does not show well in the photos, but a sparkle is also added to the water color via a clear heat embossed pattern from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks (stencils) released in the Holiday Catalog. I cut the water color paper down to size, attached the gorgeous text patterned paper in a Petal Pink print from the Parisian Blossom Specialty Designer Series Paper pack. The seam is covered with a length of Petal Pink gold metallic edged ribbon. The Eiffel Tower and swirl pattern were die cut from Champagne Foil with the Parisian Dies, the sentiment “Amour” is die cut with the same die set in Basic Gray. The finished panel is attached to a mat of Basic Gray Cardstock and attached to the front of the Petal Pink Card base.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
