The background is a blended background using the Pattern Party Decorative Masks from the Annual Catalog. The stencil did slip on me a bit, but a just went with it, it is a homemade card. I did the blended background by using my gelli plate, blending Daffodil Delight, Flirty Flamingo and Grapefruit Grove. Feathering the lightest into the darkest with my brayer. Applied the stencil over the inked gel plate, pulled this print by pressing Whisper White card stock over the mask to get only the dots. I removed the mask and pressed it onto another piece of Whisper White card stock to create the reverse impression, and then pulled the final print on Whisper White from the gelli plate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure><\/li><\/ul><\/figure>\n\n\n\nThe Tulips were created by using sponge daubers to apply the ink to the tulip bulb image – in this case 2 tulips are created with Daffodil Delight and sponging on the Flirty Flamingo. The center tulip is stamped with Daffodil Delight and then Grapefruit Grove is sponged on. The leaves also use the same technique in Granny Apple Green and Mint Macaron. All elements were cut with the Tulip Builder punch. A little pre-planning will ensure success when using the punches to create the tulip image. Create a template first by punching through a piece of scrap card\/cardboard, etc. This can be used to lay out the stamps in the perfect position every time. Also note how the punch will cut out the images, stamp the images in the fashion of the punch, making everything move along easy peasy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The sentiment “What a Beautiful Difference one single life can make.” is from the same Timeless Tulip Stamp set\/bundle. It is punched out with the Pretty Label Punch. The Grapefruit Grove mat is also punched with the Pretty Label punch, cut in half, slightly separated and then glued in place, so it appears larger. The mat for the flowers is a strip of Grapefruit Grove, covered by a slightly larger strip of vellum, which is attached behind the tulips, out of sight. The tulips and leaves auditioned for their positions and this is where they happily landed. The bow is a piece of Daffodil Delight Ruched Ribbon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The inside is not to be ignored! I used the sponging technique for the inside tulip and leaves image again using Flirty Flamingo, Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Mint Macaron.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
