For our third challenge this month at CAS Colours & Sketches<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, Jeanne has created a gorgeous, Spring-like, bright and happy color combination. Does it seem like January is flying by already to you? I kinda feel like my head is spinning just a bit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This card uses the Berry Blessings stamp set. This set centers around the Raspberry and Blueberry. They are all very watercolor-esque. The berries and leave images also have filler images. To stick with the color challenge I chose to stamp the Raspberries in Melon Mambo, the leaf sprig is stamped in Old Olive and I used the smooshing technique in the background with Crushed Curry. Due to the smooshing, I did the entire focal panel on watercolor paper, then cut with the Stitched Rectangles Die. With Memento ink I stamped the greeting “Wishing you the Berry Best” to finish off the panel. I mounted the finished panel on craft foam and attached to the Old Olive card base. Inside the card, on the liner, I repeated the scene from the front of the card on Basic White cardstock. The liner, in hindsight, is not my favorite panel ever created….I should have redone it, but I am a bit rushed at the time I created it and just didn’t have time to redo. So focus on the card front – it is way better!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

PSA: As a reminder Stampin’ Up! Whisper White is no longer available. Unfortunately the manufacturer of all Whisper White was could not endure the hardships of COVID and forced to shut their doors. Thankfully another company was able to pick up the ball and run with it. Stampin’ Up! is now in full swing Basic White mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
