Happy Mother’s Day to all the Mama’s here in the states, a smidge early. I think Lovely and Sweet bundle is a perfect collection to create a Mother\/s Day card with. Particularly if your mother is a plant fanatic – like mine. I love the DSP that comes with the Nature’s Sweetness suite is gorgeous so did my best to use several pieces, This is a standard gate fold card. I used several pieces of Nature’s Sweetness Specialty DSP. Pebbled Path has become a big favorite of mine so I went gold, white and pebbled path. I stamped the flowering Almond Branch image in Pebbled Path, then added color with Stampin’ up Watercolor pencils – though I did not activate them, just used as pencils. Then die cut the image with the coordinating die. The sentiment ‘You’re Simply Marvelous” also comes from the Lovely & Suite stamp set, I gold heat embossed it on a strip of Basic White, cut it down to 3\/4″ wide then used the Banners Pick a punch to finish off the ends – very sad to see this one go! Finished the front off with the Adhesive Back Sparkle gems in Champagne. Inside the card, I used more of the Specialty DSP and then gold heat embossed the Vanilla floral image on a quarter piece, cut to size, Basic White cardstock. I didn’t want to open the card and see the back side of the background paper behind the Almond branch – so I finished that off with another piece of DSP. Both are cut with a deckled edge circle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
