I thought this challenge was a lot of fun – I was also inspired by the upcoming US holidays, Mother’s Day (May) and Father’s Day (June). For unknown reason I was more inspired to do a Father’s Day card with this sketch so I went with it. I used a stamp set with its coordinating die set. My husband is a huge handy man, and back in the day – my dad was also a reasonable decent handy man, my son even helps out from time to time (when in town – he’s away at college) – this bundle really spoke to me on all levels! so away we go with the Peg (particle) board that holds oh so many tools and a handy man tool box that holds the most used items. The tools are stamped in Stazon Black ink on Metallic Champagne card stock. I couldn’t seem to put my hands on silver, so champagne seemed like the next best choice. The tools are all cut with their coordinating die. I cut a 2nd hammer from Cherry Cobbler cardstock so the handle could be a different color and depict the coating that is typically on the handles of most tools. The wrench is also cut from champagne cardstock and the image is stamped with Black Stazon. The tool box and pencil are cut from Crumb Cake cardstock. The pencil is stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and cut with coordinating die. The sentiment “Happy Fathers Day” is stamped in Crumb Cake. To address the inside I spimply stamped a Paint Brush in black ink, used the filler stamp to color in the handle with Crumb Cake ink and used the filler stamp of paint on the brush with Cherry Cobbler.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
