This card was created for a Floral Theme challenge at Global Design Project #GDP243.
For this card I pulled from a couple of new Suites/bundles from the new catalog. The Forever Greenery Suite includes the Forever Fern Bundle which lends itself to so many designs, it can stand squarely on it own as well.
The Forever Fern bundle is paired with the In Good Taste Suite which includes the Tasteful Touches Bundle which includes the Tasteful Touches Stamp Set that includes these flower images. Crushed Curry and Daffodil Delight are used to cover a piece of watercolor paper using the smooshing technique. I stamped the images on the dried watercolor with Crushed Curry using the Stamparatus, so I could be sure I got a reasonable clear image, I added additional depth and texture using the Stampin’ Up! Watercolor pencils.
The In Good Taste Suite includes the Designer Series Paper Pack that includes the white brick pattern and the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder that used to dry emboss the Crumb Cake Cardstock.
The sentiment tag that says “Its Your Day” comes from the Celebration of Tags stamp set, it is die cut using the Trio of Tags Die set. The die cut border of the card came from another bundle in the new catalog called Birds & Branches. The die set in the bundle is Birds & More. Feeling like I didn’t have enough texture on the card, I added a retired piece of Burlap Ribbon.
Inside the card, I simply attached the scrap strip from the Crumb Cake on the front of the card and then attached 2 more die cut leaf sprigs.
