I have had so much fun playing with the June Paper Pumpkin Kit – Box of Sunshine. This kit is at the top of the list of my favorites. So, I decided to use this kit to create a card for the Global Design Project #GDP248 Case the Designer Challenge. The Designer or choice for this challenge is Manuela Geiswinkler, I have seen several of her designs are simply beautiful, colorful, clean and elegant. That’s a lot of pressure, but I took a stab at it, using the June Paper Pumpkin Kit.
Lets get to it. This would definitely be an alternative solution for this kit, I hope you enjoy it. I loved putting it together, I think I definitely hit the colorful nail on the head, if not colorful then bright.
The majority of the card is created using the elements within the kit. The Pineapple, Lemon and leaves are die cuts from the kit. Directly behind the fruit is a portion of a card front from the kit. The gold striped paper at the top of the card is cut from one of the envelopes, while the black and white polka dot strip is a half of a sticker in the kit. The greeting fishtail strip and the greeting “Hello” are also from the kit. Inside the card is a strip of gold and white card stock that is a left over strip from a card front, and the other half of black and white polka dot sticker, as well as the sequins that add a touch of dazzle to the card front. There are three elements on the card front that did not come from the kit the yellow striped patterned paper that resembles a watercolor wash, the Granny Apple Green cardstock background mat and the Gold trim that I tied into a bow.
