In this post I have for you a card created for the CAS Colours & Sketches Color Challenges #356. I hope you will pop on over take a look around and enter one of your own creations. This is what I came up with.
I love all of the watercolor look stamp sets that Stampin’ Up! has been releasing lately. This set, My Meadow, has been released in the new 2020 January – June Mini Catalog. The images combined can create such a serene setting.
To create this scene I needed to lean on a neutral color to help pull this off, I chose to go with Crumb Cake. The card base is a standard side folding card using Whisper White.Thick card stock. The matte is a piece of Rococo Rose cardstock. The focal panel is 90% stamping – easy! I used a blending brush to get a subtle hue of the rising sun using Rococo Rose. Then using Granny Apple Green, Seaside Spray and Crumb Cake Ink pads I put together the scene. The grass and water, are 1st and 2nd generation stamping to achieve the variations.
For the inside of the card, I repeated the outside scene, just a little less detailed.
