This is my inspiration card for you in the CAS Colours & Sketches Color Challenge #365. This color challenge uses Petal Pink, Mint Macaron and Highland Heather. Hope you enjoy and are inspired enough to play along with us this week at CAS Colours & Sketches.
Presenting my inspiration card, using the Beautiful Moments Stamp Set. I colored the images with my Stampin’ Blends Alcohol markers in Petal Pink, Mint Macaron and Highland Heather combo packs, along with Light Crumb Cake for the mountain and sand, Bronze for their hair and Ivory for their skin. The Combo sets offer a light and dark version of each color, creating great shading possibilities. Then combine them with the coordinating Stampin’ Write Marker, which is even darker, the possibilities are endless. I did wade into my stash a bit for my Archival Ink in Watering Can, I thought black would be a bit harsh. I stamped the scene on a piece of Whisper White cardstock then colored in and cut to size, then matted with a piece of Highland Heather. The sentiment “Collect Beautiful Moments” seems to really fit for the current climate and is also from the Beautiful Moment stamp set. The finished panel is attached to a Whisper White Thick card base. Of course I cannot leave the inside untouched so I used the wheat image from the set, which could be perceived as sea grass – my story, I am sticking to it!
My young daughter also loves to craft, without any knowledge of this challenge, my daughter created an Easter card that oddly enough matched with this color challenge (among others). She asked if I would share her card with you, so I happily and proudly obliged. I am a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator by choice, I made that decision with prior knowledge of all the other products out there. I didn’t want to limit her young mind and creativity to one manufacturer. I want her to experience all there is to offer out there, which is vast, and come upon her own conclusions. Most of her stash is from Simon Says or Hero Arts Card Kits.
