Today I have for you an inspiration card prepared for the Color Challenge that begins this week at CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge #382

I absolutely love Fall/Autumn cards, mostly because that is probably my most favorite season! So here we go, I have a Fall card for ya. Terracotta Tile is used with the In-color 2019-2021 In-Color 6″x6″ DSP pack, the Terracotta Tile trim linen ribbon, as part of the watercolor wash for the large leaf and as the greeting “Wishing you well”. Garden Green is the purely in the leaf. Blushing Bride is the cardstock mat and the tile pattern behind the leaf. Inside corner is treated very similarly as the the front, with a small watercolor leaf, the Blushing Bride tile pattern and a small piece of left over ribbon. I absolutely love how the leaf on the inside turned out.

The inside leaf is my new most favorite technique. Simply the actual metal die is placed face first in the ink pad with a subtle press for good measure. Pull out the die, place on the paper of choice then die cut. In this instance, I used the small leaf die from the Gathered Leaves Dies, place it face down in the Terracotta Ink Pad, then place face down on the watercolor paper with the wash of Garden Green and Terracotta Tile. Die cut the leaf, and there ya go, Terracotta tile in the intentions. Much like inking Embossing Folders.

2020 August – December Mini Catalog
