Another week at CAS Colours & Sketches brings another challenge. This week our Design Team Member Holly has created this sketch to challenge your creative abilities. I had fun with this sketch and I hope you will too. We would love to see your creations!
Here is what I came with – Enjoy!
This is a standard side folding card base in Very Vanilla Thick. the new Stampin’ Up! In-colors for 2020-2022 have into play here, Misty Moonlight and Bumble Bee. The cardstock mat is Misty Moonlight cut with the largest Stitch Rectangle Die. The patterned paper is from the Boho Indigo Product Medley, and cut with the next size down Stitched Rectangle Die. The Misty Moonlight car stock and Bumble Bee cardstock circles are cut with a Stitched Shapes Circle Die. The layered stamped Birds are stamped on Whisper white cardstock in 2nd generation Bumble Bee and Basic Gray and 2nd generation Misty Moonlight and Basic Gray, then die cut with the coordinating die. The sentiment “Lets Celebrate You” comes from the Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set. It is stamped in Misty Moonlight on Very Vanilla card and cut with the Lovely Label Pick a Punch. Inside the card I line the bottom with left over pieces of Misty Moonlight cardstock and the patterned paper from Boho Indigo. Topped off with a Bumble Bee Stitched circle and a blue bird, just to mix up the options a bit. I loved both combinations and just couldn’t decide which one to go with on the front, the only way to settle my mind was to throw in some more interest inside.
I am currently enjoying creating coordinating tags cor every card, so you can see the coordinating tag here.
