Welcome to another CAS Colours & Sketches Challenge – This week our hostess Yoon Young has created Color Challenge #457. These are deep rich colors that I think can go in so many directions. Can’t wait to see what these color bring up for you. If you are so inclined, please do post your creation to our blog gallery for this challenge.

These colors actually brought to mind the deep rich colors that can be found at the beach during sunrise just before the tip of the sun can be on the horizon or sunset after the sun has settled under the horizon. I used Evening Evergreen and Early Espresso in 1st and 2nd generation stamping. I masked the sand and tree trunks, then blended in Merry Merlot with a blending brush for a softer look. I used the Paradise Palms Stamp set, along with a Sale-a-bration stamp set called Island Vibes large leaf image inside the card. I used a piece of Early Espresso cardstock as the matt, but not before running it through the embossing machine with the 3D Tasteful Textures Embossing Folder. The finished panel is cut with the Stitched Rectangle Dies. The sentiment is also from the Paradise Palm Stamp Set, stamped in Early Espresso.
