Can you believe it’s July already?  Patricia is hosting our challenges this month, and as usual, the first challenge of the month is a color challenge. I love these colors – very rich – definitely masculine, or are they? We would love to see what card creations you have developed with this color challenge, so please do post your cards to our photo gallery for this challenge at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Yes you see it – I am still rooted deep into the sunflower phase. I am back celebrating sunflowers with these gorgeous colors. Cant say I have seen a maroon (Merry Merlot) Sunflower – but if you tilt your head to the side and let your eyes blur the image – it could be a Chrysanthemum! Hee Hee! I truly adore how this card turned out – not exactly as pictured, but with a couple of evolutions we landed here and I love it.

The background is stenciled with Night of Navy directly on the card base. The Sunflower is stamped in Memento black on Merry Merlot cardstock and die cut with the coordinating die. The flower outline and the sprigs in the back are all die cut from gold cardstock then attached to card front with dimensionals.

Inside, of course, is reminiscent of the card front on a dialed back scale.
