A CAS(E) for Good Morning Magnolia
Hey guys, thanks so much for stopping by, so glad you could spend a minute with me!
This is a card created for sketch challenge CTS #335 at CAS(E) this sketch! It always seems to be the most simple and straight forward sketches can be the toughest to create. Especially when simple seems to be….a bit to much to ask! Something along the lines of over thinking a a simple geometry problem. Super easy to solve but yet, wait that may not be what I am supposed to do.
So, I have myself a very similar situation with this sketch. Once I turned the brain off, this is what came out.
The card base is a half sheet of Very Vanilla Thick cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″, for a standard side folding card. On a piece of Very Vanilla Card stock, I stamped the scroll image from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp set, in Pear Pizzazz, Mango Melody and Cajun Craze. The sentiment is ” So glad to have you in my life.” comes from the Gather Together stamp set, which is a New Holiday release for Stampin’ Up!. I cut the sentiment and the copper foil mat with some fishtail dies from My Favorite Things and Lawn Fawn. For some interest, the stamped panel was cut down with a Stitched Rectangle Die, then attached to a mat of Copper Foil. The finished panel is attached to a piece of craft foam for elevation then attached to the card base with liquid adhesive.
No to forget the inside of the card, at the bottom is stamped the same scroll image in Cajun Craze.
Very quick and simple card after the brain factor is removed! I love the way it turned out, hope you enjoyed and maybe found some inspiration as well.
Again, thanks for stopping by, if you would like to learn more about this challenge, the design team behind these challenges or to see what others have created for this challenge or others, hop on over to CAS(E) this sketch!. As always I must check out for now, however, I will return soon with something new. Until then keep crafting, exploring and creating. See you soon.
