I love these colors for the color challenge this week at Global Design Project #GDP253. Granny Apple Green, Bumble Bee and Calypso Coral are just gorgeous together, with me in an Autumn frame of mind, I had to go with a Fall/Autumn Wreath. That connection is made because my young daughter is our home decorator. She feels like school and Autumn need to be recognized simultaneously, therefor, Summer is over Autumn has begun! The Stampin’ Up! In-color Bumble Bee is a perfect Autumn color and it has the cutest Gingham Ribbon associated with it, I just had to use it.

There is a tiny bit of technique involved in this card, but to me, it is all fun and is just part of the creative process. First comes a color wash using the challenge colors on watercolor paper. Once I got the wash to an intensity I wanted, I followed up with with some splatters….as found in the Gather Together Stamp set…I need all the help I can get when it comes to pretty splatters. Once that is all dry, I stamped the individual leaves from the Arrange a Wreath stamp set in the challenge colors, on the washed watercolor paper. Using the Wreath Builder Dies, I cut out the leafy wreath from the watercolor paper, and the berry like wreath from Calypso Coral card, On a piece of Whisper White card, I used the Wet Wipe stamp pad technique, combining Granny Apple Green ink re-filler and Bumble Bee ink re-filler on the wet wipe, then inking the wreath stamp with the wet wipe. I then went around the wreath with my favorite splatter stamp in Bumble Bee. The tag hanging from the wreath is from the Essential Tag Punch, a part of the Everything Essential Bundle. The greeting is from the Harvest Hellos stamp set. So the tag could stand on its own, I inked the edges in Bumble Bee . Attached a few die cut leaves to the top of the tag, punched a tiny hole in the top and attached the tag to the wreath with a tiny piece of Linen Thread. Topped everything off with a bow in Bumble Bee Gingham Ribbon. Inside I attached a few more leaves.
I attached the finished panel to a Bumble Bee cardstock mat, then attached that to a piece of fun foam for some elevation. That all went on a standard side folding Whisper White Thick card base.
