We have a fun slimline sketch for the final challenge of June! Can’t wait to see what everyone creates, so please, if your willing, post your creations to our challenge gallery at CAS Colours & Sketches.
I have sunflowers on the brain as of late – so here is a slimline card with a Sunflower using my favorite stamp set called Celebrating Sunflowers and its coordinating dies. The sunflower image is stamped in Daffodil Delight ink on Daffodil Delight cardstock, then die cut with the coordinating die. The outline die is cut from Crushed Curry Cardstock. I used color pencil to add a bit more depth to the petals before attaching the outline die cut. Then I sponged Early Espresso into the center and used an existing die cut i created long ago with Early Espresso cardstock. The sprigs are cut from Brushed metal cardstock. Inside the card I used another die cut sunflower created with the same sunflower set and added a few more sprigs. The sentiment is heat embossed in white and also comes from the stamp set on a Crumbcake cardstock mat. The Sunflower is popped up on dimensionals for a bit of drama.
