We are half way through November and this week our hostess Joanne, has pulled together a fun colour challenge for you. She has included the sparkly zing of metallic silver. It will be so fun to see what you come up with using this color combo. Please consider posting your card creations using this color scheme on our CAS Colours & Sketches blog.

I’m trying to focus on Christmas now – I have given in – it is mid November after all, which that in itself is hard to believe. But leaves are falling, there is a nip in the air, a fire or two have now burned in our fireplace and we have already enjoyed a few mugs hot apple cider. The signs of an approaching holiday or two cannot be denied at this point. So here we go…..

Here in the South (USA) on my little red dot on the map, more specifically Central Alabama, snow and Christmas – even more so Thanksgiving – are rarely paired with the fluffy white stuff. We are leafless, and chilly but the numerous pine trees remain green. So I chose to go with Mossy Meadow pine trees at a Christmas tree farm! With a Polished Pink Christmas tiding and a touch of silver cardstock as a matt. Plain and simple. Hind sight being what it is – I think some silver on the trees themselves could have been a nice touch – you may see that creation in the very near future! Stay tuned. I also made this quite simply with one stamp set and 1st, 2nd and 3rd generations of Mossy Meadow to give the feel of depth in a dense forest of pines. Easy Peasy.
