This card starts with a standard side folding card base cut from 8-1/2″ x 11″ Blueberry Bushel card stock to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″.

The front mat is a piece of Designer Series Paper from the See a Silhouette DSP that I felt completely reflected a very starry evening sky at the beach. To that mat I layered the Palm Tree Die from the Friendly Silhouette Dies using Mossy Meadow, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake and Silver foil. Once those elements were attached I heat embossed the young girl looking at the stars with her telescope and the sentiment from Silhouette Scenes in white on top of it all. I tried to give the Crumb Cake layer the look/texture of sand by using the sand image from the High Tide Stamp set with Versamark Ink. This “finished” off the front.

For stability reasons, I attached a solid piece of fun foam to the back of the mat and then attached the finished mat to a mat of a slightly larger piece of Whisper White Card Stock. The fun foam really adds a stability/strength to the front layer that feels good in hand (if that makes any sense). The layers were then adhered to the card base with Tear-N-Tape.

Inside the card, I attached with liquid adhesive a Whisper White mat that had been stamped with the young girl with StazOn Ink in the lower left corner. This liner was attached inside the card with Tear-N-Tape.

To finish off the front of the card, I used Wink of Stella on the the palm tree fronds so it appeared to be reflecting the moon light. Wink of Stella is also on the top portion of the sand. For a little bit more sparkle and starry allure I added a few Clear Epoxy Droplets.
