This post has the final card created with the stamp set of my personal challenge – Country Home. I absolutely love the feel of this set, homey, comfortable. I feel like I should have had a bowl of potpourri in front of me with a spicy fragrance this entire week! This card was inspired by the Sketch Challenge FMS407 at Freshly Made Sketches.

This card begins with a half sheet of Pretty Peacock Cardstock cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ for a side folding card base. I promise the card base is Pretty Peacock, in some of the photos Pretty Peacock shows very blue! On a piece of Whisper White I stamped the tile image from the Country Home Stamp set with 1st and 2nd generation stamping to create a stair step pattern. Then cut out the entire pattern following the stair step layout to really make the pattern pop. This piece is applied directly to the card base with craft foam for a bit more lift and interest. Before gluing this piece down, I stamped additional tile images, following the stair step pattern, directly on the card base with Whisper White Craft Ink. In effort to soften the edges and further indicate the stair step pattern.

The bouquet image is composed of the Cotton Stalk bouquet and the milk urn images, they are stamped in Archival Coffee Ink. The bouquet is rendered using the Stampin’ Blends and Stampin’ Write markers in Pretty Peacock Combo, Smoky Slate light (on the cotton for shading), Basic Black combo, Pumpkin Pie Light and Terracotta Tile. The majority of the milk can is painted with a drop of Celestial Copper Delicata Ink refill. The bouquet and milk can image are fussy cut (surprisingly really not that difficult – I do not get any kind of joy during fussy cutting – I do enjoy seeing the finished piece, if I didn’t mess it up to bad!) then adhered with liquid glue to a mat composed of a stitched oval in Pretty Peacock and a larger oval of some copper paper I had in my stash….unfortunately, I have no idea who, what, when, why or where about this paper – but I must have loved it, I have several sheets!? The oval mats are glued together and attached to another piece of craft foam. The sentiment “Happy Harvest Blessings” is copper heat embossed on a scrap piece of Whisper White, die cut using the Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered with liquid glue and 1 dimensional.

There is a whisper white liner inside the card with the tile images stamped in 1st and 2nd generation Pretty Peacock in a stair pattern, to reflect the pattern on the outside.

I hope you enjoyed learning the details of this card, I have been trying to come up with a way to use this tiles and this challenge seemed like the perfect opportunity.
