Freshly Made Painted Harvest

Hey everyone, thanks so much for taking a minute to spend with me. I do appreciate your visit.

So I come to you today with a card created for Freshly Made Sketches FMS200. This is week 2 of their Anniversary Celebration of reaching 400 challenges.

I am definitely in the mood for Fall, all of the new Fall/Holiday releases is making me beyond ready for Cinnamon, Apple Cider, Falling Leaves and yes just a taste or two of Pumpkin Spice! I don’t know really if I’m ready for Fall/Winter or just really ready to lose the 110 degree temperatures around here.

This card is pretty close to simple stamping. I stamped the daisy with Mango Melody and 2nd generation Cajun Craze. The leaves are Old Olive and Pear Pizzazz. Using sponge daubers on the top half of the card, I lightly applied Balmy Blue to represent the sky, on the bottom half is Crumb Cake. I then used my Aqua Painter to splatter Old Olive and Mango Melody all over the card. The sentiment “I am thankful for you”, stamped in Early Espresso is from the same stamp set. To further define the line, Linen Thread is wrapped around the Very Vanilla Card. I attached the finished panel to a half sheet of Very Vanilla Thick Card stock cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ for a top folding card.

For the final flourish, I attached some copper sequins. This card screams late Summer, early Fall to me. I love the antique-y look of the sponging, particularly on the bottom. Splattering isn’t a usual go to for me, but in my head this design was screaming for it. It is all very rustic, I love it.
