With this post, comes a card that comes with my version of Emma Goddard’s card. Emma is a Global Design Project Design Team Member from England. She has created a gorgeous card that we have been tasked to CASE. I love everything about her card, absolutely gorgeous card. Somehow I was moved to the sketch challenge of the card, more so than the colors. My heart is leading me at a full run to Fall/Autumn. Its been reasonably hot in Alabama, but it has been much worse! Guess with everything going on, I’m trying to usher the seasons through in hopes there is a light at the end of the tunnel! Hope you enjoy.

CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit

When you CASE a project you can take what you like from the design and make it your own. It might be the stamp set – the colors, the layout, the theme, the images – whatever you like that has inspired you to make a card of your own.

This card starts with the Fall/Autumn mentality, so the colors are warm. Very Vanilla is the card, with a mat of Merry Merlot. The front panel is Very Vanilla card stock run through the embossing machine with the Woodland Embossing Folder. But first, I use the Merry Merlot, Garden Green and Cinnamon Cider ink pad to apply to some color to the flat side of the folder. Spritz the color with a bit of water, align the cardstock and run it through the machine. You will never get the same look twice! I love how this one ultimately turned out. The Gather Together Bundle is a re-release from last seasons Mini Catalog, and again, one of my favorites. These colors are just go to for me when thinking Autumn, so I had tons of leaves already created that were left over from last season. They worked perfectly. I have found a new technique that I am using for everything…..I place a die that is intended for embossing, place it face down in an ink pad that coordinates with the look, place the die on the card stock and run it through the embossing machine. It offers so much dimension, I adore how this technique turns out. I cut a leaf water colored in Garden Green, dipped the embossing die in Merry Merlot and that is how I created the leaf on the front and on the inside. The greeting is stamped in Merry Merlot, cut with the Banners Pick a Punch, attached to the front with dimensionals. The final flourish is the Gold Metallic Pearls.

Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit.
