Good Morning Magnolia and A Little Lace Unite for CAS

Hey everyone, thanks so much for stopping by! Glad you could stop by for a minute.

Today is the fourth Tuesday in July and Karen has a sketch challenge for us at CAS Colours & Sketches #331.

On to the card. The card base is a sheet Early Espresso cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ for a top fold card. I was so stumped as to what to do for this card. All kinds of ideas, but what will work. I began looking through by left overs case and found these Magnolia buds that I had already stamped, cut and colored. A bit of a eureka moment, especially when I considered some of the colors in the coordinating DSP. Off to the races.

I cut two pieces of Early Espresso scraps to the size needed, then attached the buds to the top half with dimensionals. I cut a mat of Whisper White with a Stitched Rectangle Die then attached the Early Espresso panels to the front of the Whisper White mat using fun foam cut to size. From a left over strip of Petal Pink I stamped a sentiment from A Little Lace Stamp set, attached the sentiment strip to the front of the panels. I then attached the complete Whisper White mat to the card base with another piece of fun foam. I have fallen in love with using fun foam for mounting. I love how sturdy it makes that larger pieces and it just makes the card feel good while holding it. Lets not forget Jennifer McGuire is a goddess and without her, I have no idea where I would be today!

Inside the card, I adhered a Whisper White liner piece decorated with one more Magnolia Bud. Just trying to carry the theme through and the inside cannot be ignored!
