This is a card I have created for a very good friend who just recently re-married. Unfortunately, it wasn’t a wedding where all her friends and family could join her at the church. We all joined her via Zoom! Bit of a crazy experience, but it was quick and beautiful.
This card seems to be a study in Navy and White. I love Navy, it is my go to color most of the time. Big fan of Black as well, however, if given choices Navy most likely will pull out the win.
I wanted to do something with the Woven Heirlooms stamp set for this card so badly. Don’t know what the obsession was or even why, but it was to be accomplished. I got to looking at the background stamp that is seen in the angular stamp across the card front in Night of Navy. There are swirls and leafy patterns. I got to looking through the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper patterns and came across this one that simply set the stage. Navy. The patterned paper is matted with Night of Navy, as is the sentiment “Wishing you a day of Love and Joy” which is stamped in Night of Navy and punched with the Label Me Lovely Punch. This was a super easy card to pull together. I also had an experience while trying to “throw” another card together today….what seems easy on the face, isn’t always as easy at it seems. I’ll be posting that card shortly, I love how it turned out but buddy did I have to work for it.
