Card Challenges

Happy Anniversary

This card was inspired by the card challenge at TGIF Challenges #TGIFC207, but created for my sisters wedding anniversary coming up this month.

Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by. I have created this card for my sisters wedding anniversary. They had a beautiful beach wedding on a beautiful breezy day in April in South Carolina.

So I am in love with these birds! Somehow, this card challenge brought to mind these birds. The Dogwoods and Cherry Blossoms are in bloom right now in my neck of the woods, so there is where the inspiration came from.

The bird and front sentiment are from the Best Bird Stamp set. I used the Birds and Bloom dies to cut out the bird on the the big shot. The branch was pulled from the Colorful Seasons stamp set. It looked more like the flowering tree branch to me. I used the Bitty Bloom punches to create the 3-D flowers. I used Night of Navy and Granny Apple Green to water color the background. Crumb cake, So Saffron and Powder pink to paint the bird. I heat embossed the greeting and sentiment in copper embossing powder. The inside sentiment came from the Dandelion Wishes stamp set.
