Love those Daisies

Hello everyone, I am so glad you could to stop by today. Today I am coming to you with another creation for a design challenge through Inspire. Create. Stamping Challenge #041

I have been showing the Stampin’ Up! set Daisy Delight and the Daisy Punch some serious love lately. Daisies are my favorite flower, with Spring trying to turn into Summer (way to early for my liking) in my neck of the woods, I am compelled to just leave them on the desk because the next project is going to involve daisies! I let the daisy punch take a break with this card. I chose to pair the daisies, this time around with the Stampin’ Up! Jar of Love Stamp set and coordinating dies. Mason jars scream spring and summer as do daisies so I think they are a match made in heaven.

As I mentioned earlier I paired the Daisy Delight stamp set with Jar of Love stamp set and coordinating dies. I used the smaller daisy in the set with the smaller stem. I stamped the flower outline with Daffodil Delight, for the second filler stamp I stamped off once with Daffodil Delight to make the color lighter. I then fussy cut each completed daisy. I stamped the medium sized jar on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock towards the bottom. Then I did the same stamp off technique for the stems, I stamped one stem full strength, then stamped the second stem straight away (no re-inking) just to provide a bit of dimension. Pulling out the Big Shot now I cut the medium size jar from a piece of Vellum and another from Window Sheet. Then I glued the Vellum over the earlier stamped jar and stems to soften the look of the stems in the jar. Then I glued the die cut window sheet over the vellum so it looked a bit more like glass. Then I got really crazy…. with Versamark Ink I stamped Hello onto the Window Sheet, coated with Clear Embossing Powder and then heat embossed it. I think it turned out really well and I think it comes across fairly well in the photos. Once all that was finished I attached the daisies to the stems, 3 directly glued to whisper white card and the other three were raised with dimensionals. That completed panel was then attached to the mat of Share What you Love DSP that I wrapped a piece of 1/8″ Shaded Spruce ribbon around. once all that was together I added the piece of ribbon and bow to the jar. All of that is attached to a top folding 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ So Saffron Card base.

This card was fun to put together. The heat embossing on the jar, actually warped the acetate just a tiny bit so it takes on a rounded shape which I think added a bit more whimsy to the jar. I love when little happy accidents happen like that. I did stamp a stamped off Pool party to indicate water in the jar. I love how this card turned out, I will see you again soon with another challenge.
