Mothers Day

Hey there, so glad you could stop by! I have for you another card created for another card challenge. This one is to focus on the color Pink and or Mothers Day, so I took both into account for this Festive Friday a Paper Crafting Challenge #FF0032

This may seem unbelievable, I put down the Daisy Delight Stamp set and Daisy Punch and instead turned to my April Paper Pumpkin Kit. The stamp set in this kit is absolutely gorgeous, it also happens to be geared towards Mothers Day, so with the addition of some pink, I am set. I absolutely love the card I was able to come up with. I’m not much of a pink person so that stretched my limits a bit, but none the less I like where I landed.

This card took a little bit of thought, Pink always becomes a stumbling block for me. Pink was not a requirement, but if your going to do a challenge, go all the way and do it all. This gorgeous flower came from the April Paper Pumpkin Kit, it is out of their Distinktive (that spelling is correct) line. I covered the stamp in Melon Mambo then I daubed some Lovely Lipstick Ink in the center and then feather it out for a shadowing effect. I then fussy cut them out. The leaves also came from the set and are stamped in Soft Sea Foam and Pear Pizzazz and also fussy cut. The card base is Whisper White with a 3″ circle cut from the top center of the card. The mat is Powder Pink Card stock with a 3″ circle cut to match the card base. I added a scalloped circle die cut to frame the circle on the front. I ran the pink mat through the die cutting machine with the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder. The sentiment is stamped in Smokey Slate on a piece of Whisper White card using a die from the Spot of Tea die set. The sentiment is from Another Wonderful Year stamp set. Underneath the sentiment is another die cut in Pear Pizzazz from the Foliage Framelit set. Then embellished with a few pearls.
