Nature’s Beauty is a beauty!
Hey everyone, thanks so much for stopping by, I do appreciate the time you choose to spend with me.
So, my eldest kiddo, turned 15 this weekend. I wanted to create a birthday card for him that spoke to who he is and what he loves. He is a nature lover, something I tried to instill in him from birth. He is an animal lover, we have a tiny zoo at our house – 3 dogs, 1 cat and we had a fish, unfortunately she passed away this weekend, but he loves them all! He is also huge into playing basketball – but I was dying to use this set!
I chose to go with a set that will be released with the Stampin’ Up! Holiday Autumn/Winter catalog TOMORROW! With a lot of masking, several ink colors and sponge daubers, I really love the way this card turned out. I not only used the Nature’s Beauty cling stamp set, but I also pulled in Winter Woods to create the scene. I used a couple of other new items releasing TOMORROW in the new Stampin’ Up! 2019 Holiday catalog. The Designer Series Paper I used as a mat, is a pattern from the Come Together DSP collection, part of the Come To Gather Suite which represents Fall/Autumn/Thanksgiving beautifully. I have used the Gather Together Bundle (Stamp set & Dies) from this Suite in several past posts (leaves and pumpkins), this Suite includes this pack of gorgeous DSP, look at the link below for a glimpse into the patterns and colors. Think about Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Merry Merlot, Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzazz, Pretty Peacock and Whisper White. GORGEOUS! I love the Golden Glitz Delicata Pigment Ink pad that will be releasing with the new catalog TOMORROW! So glittery, very golden, I’m not sure it is represented very well in the pictures above. Gold is not the only show stopper, there is also silver and copper.
Inside I did stamp a birthday sentiment in the Golden Glitz, but my husband and daughter had already written their well wishes inside before I could get a photo, so just imagine more gorgeous golden sparkle inside the card, wishing my son a Happy Birthday!
