Card Challenges

Perennial Essence Thank You card

Hey everyone, thanks so much for spending a minute or two with me! So glad to visit with you!

Today I am taking part in a challenge site that is new to me. They are called the Paper Players. This is sketch challenge PP452. So lets have some fun with this sketch!

The card base is half a sheet of Blackberry Bliss cut to 8-1/2″ x 5-/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ as a top opening card.

I used a piece of the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper (DSP) as the background layer, cut a length of Burlap Ribbon, cut the piece of ribbon in half lengthwise then attached at the top and bottom seams of the DSP with Tear-n-Tape. Cut a strip of the Mossy Meadow Script pattern from the Neutral Designer Series 6″x6″ Paper, then adhered it with liquid adhesive over the Floral DSP and the ribbon. The Whisper White card is die cut from the Stitched Nested Label Dies as the start point for the focal image of the card. The focal image is the Blackberry Bliss stamped petal image from the Floral Essence stamp set. Stamped the image twice and then punch out using the Floral Essence Punch. The images were attached using liquid adhesive turned slightly to reveal all the petals. In the center is a Faceted Gold gem. Behind the flower in Mossy Meadow are leaf sprigs punched from the Leaf Punch. The focal image combination is attached to the card with liquid adhesive. For extra bling I adhered some sequins from the Woven Thread Sequin Assortment. The perfect touch I think.

So glad you could visit for a bit, hope you enjoyed this card. If you would like to learn more about this challenge, the Design Team that organizes these challenges, or to see what others have done with this challenge, hop on over to the Paper Players. For now, I must leave you, but shall return soon with something new. Until then, as always, keep crafting, exploring and creating.
