This week’s Global Design Project #GDP245 Color Challenge uses 3 of the new 2020-2022 In-colors from Stampin’ Up! The colors for this challenge are Just Jade, Bumble Bee and Magenta Madness. The entire collection of brand new 2020-2022 In-colors are so bright and so much fun! They are great “pick-me up” colors.
UPDATE: 22 JUNE 2020 –
So what better way to enliven your day “pick you up” than bright fun colors and a cup of coffee (or soda, whatever does it for you at the 3:00pm hour). I love the mugs in the Rise and Shine set that was released with the 2020 Mini -Catalog, it has since been retired, but I still love it.
I put the power of all these colors into one spot! This is the coolest mug anywhere, I am probably going to have to make one this for myself, I love it that much. I used a pile of babywipes as a stamp pad and created this tye-dye effect for the cup. Using the refill bottles to add drops of each color. I made certain to keep Just Jade and Magenta Madness separated by Bumble Bee so I could get nice color mixes and not mud. You might notice in small spots the Magenta Madness and Bumblebee combined to create a really pretty orange, mostly on the handle. A lot of folks go to the coffee shop to chill out, relax, re-energize – some do a good bit of reading. I took that, and ran with it, deciding to add some texture to the background with the Scripty 3D Embossing Folder. Coffee and stain rings seem to go hand in hand – what better way to go a bit Picasso by representing the coffee stain rings than by using a circle with with dots in it. The edge detail is to add interest but to also help the strips of cardstock that subtly let the challenge colors have a bit more of an impact to the outside, but absolutely brighten up the inside.
