This week at Global Design Project, they have a color challenge. This week’s color combination is Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Mint Macaron. Very Autumn, very much in my wheelhouse as of late….so here it goes.
Not only do these colors fall in the Autumn category for me….they were screaming for me to create a wreath…..so I did. I used several die cuts from the September Paper Pumpkin kit as well as the pumpkin image and “Give Thanks” greeting from the included stamp set. The wreath die cut comes from the Arrange a Wreath Bundle, more specifically the Wreath Builder dies. Mint Macaron card is used for the large leafy wreath die, while the “berries” wreath die is used with Pumpkin Pie card. The 2 wreaths are glued together and attached a Whisper white stitched circle die and a slightly larger die cut Cajun Craze mat. To adorn the wreath, from the Paper pumpkin kit I used various flowers and spirals. I used the white side of the spiral die cut to color them Cajun Craze. The Pumpkin center piece is the pumpkin image from the Paper Pumpkin Stamp set. It is stamped in Cajun Craze and Mint Macaron, then colored with the coordinating Blends markers in Light and Dark. The extra razzle dazzle is from Artistry Blooms Sequins. Inside the card I used a few more die cuts from the Paper Pumpkin kit to coordinate with the front of the card.
