For this post, I have a card created for the Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #FMS402.

Like any artist of notoriety and life in general has shown, we all go through phases, chapters, you name it. I seem to be in a copper phase, along with a very Fall phase. Fall is definitely in full swing in my paper crafting world. I have been dying to use the So Many Stars Bundle bundle with the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper, low and behold the opportunity has presented itself! I created 2 cards for this sketch challenge, the one I have for you here is the one I felt was the most successful. I have included a picture of the other design just to quell any potential curiosities.

The card I did decide to showcase (in the slide show) to me comes across more clean and “simple”. The card base is a half sheet of Whisper White Thick Card stock cut to 5-1/2″ x 8-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ to create a standard side folding card. I used Night of Navy for a mat that I cut down to create a 1-1/4″ gap in the center. To the white card base I attached with liquid adhesive a 1″ strip of the copper stars pattern in the Brightly Gleaming Designer Series Paper pack and highlighted the edges with thin strips of copper foil. To the top portion of the Night of Navy pieces, I heat embossed in copper the sentiment “JOY” from the So Many Stars Stamp Set. I then elevated the Night of Navy pieces with craft foam and adhered to the front of the card with liquid glue. The Stars are cut from the Stitched Stars Die set that is a part of the So Many Stars Bundle, then glued onto the front.

Not to neglect the inside, I attached a strip of Night of Navy cardstock with liquid glue to the bottom of the card, then attached a few more copper stars

Below is a few pics of the other card I created for this challenge. I like this design shown below, I think it is really neat, it is my daughters favorite. However in the end, my daughters opinion and my love for this design fell short. It just didn’t come across as clean as I was hoping for. I don’t know.

Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about this Suite in the 2019 Holiday Catalog. Hopefully you were even inspired a bit.
