Welcome to my blog, I am Shannon Lorenz-Hatch from Birmingham Alabama. Hope you are enjoying our Blog Hop so far. Don’t forget, each month we have a giveaway, all you have to do to enter the giveaway is enter #stampitcontest in the comment section, once per blogger post please, for a chance to be randomly selected for the prize pictured below. Good luck, enjoy the hop and see you back here again soon.

For this card, I used the entire Rustic Harvest Suite Collection. I rarely can stick to just one bundle or collection, I must deviate somehow – I was quite excited – I used all but one little component (the leaf labels), of this one collection. I am a Fall/Autumn kinda girl, pumpkins, gourds, changing leaves, warm colors – ah, my Happy Place.

Start with a Basic White standard top folding card base. On Basic White cardstock, gold heat emboss the sentiment and the pumpkin image from the Hello Harvest Stamp set. Ink the leaf image the with Old olive, Pumpkin Pie and Cajun Craze inks, I made 3 leaves and each leaf is inked up a bit differently – since no leaves look identical. This can be done by bringing each pad directly to the stamp, using a wet baby wipe to create a custom stamp pad using refill inks, or with sponge daubers or blending brushes. Whatever method you like. Die cut everything with the coordinating dies from the Rustic Pumpkin Dies that can be bundled with the stamp set. Die cut a few of the vine dies from gold card from the Brushed Metallic cardstock. Using the Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie watercolor pencils along with an aqua brush, I added a touch of color to the pumpkin, just for more interest. I worked out an arrangement of the die cut swirls, leaves and pumpkin that made my heart happy, then glued all the individual pieces together. Put some thought into what pattern I would like to use from the Rustic Harvest DSP pack. I decided to go with the Old Olive swirl pattern since it worked so well with swirls already part of the design. I cut the DSP down to 6 pieces of 5-1/4″ x 4″. I wrapped a piece of gold twine from the Simply Elegant Trim set, for a bit more interest and to ground the pumpkin/leaf combo on the card front, then I added a matt of a slightly larger piece of gold Brushed Metallic cardstock. The sentiment and Pumpkin/leaf combo are attached to the panel with Dimensionals. A touch of sparkle and depth is added with Amber Gems from the Leaf label combo pack. Inside the card I decorated the lower corner with a left over leaf and vines, as well as a left over sliver of Gold Brushed Metallic cardstock. I am in love with this card! Ain’t she a beauty!
