This Easter card holds a special surprise when it is opened. I have created a shadow box on the inside that to me is absolutely appropriate for the significance and meaning of this Easter card. The Shadow Box is truly easy to construct, once you see how the parts and pieces go together the first time, it will be easy to duplicate for future cards. The interior shadowbox does fold down flat so the completed card isn’t to bulky. It carries quite easily through the mail.
I have used The Florentine Filigree Bundle, found in the Occasions Catalog, as the background to the shadow box, then on the front of the card used the negative space pieces stamped with the matching pattern in the Stamp set in Gray Granite. The stamping comes from the Hold on to Hope stamp set with its coordinating die set Cross of Hope Framelits found in the Annual Catalog. Gorgeous Grape takes the leading role as the ink. I used the Highland Heather Organdy Ribbon from the Sale-A-Bration catalog, along with the basic adhesive backed sequins in the Annual Catalog. The stitched Rectangular Framelit die comes from the Occasions Catalog while the Stitched Oval Framelit die comes from the Annual Catalog.
