This card came together just out of playing. Just playing. I stamped the pumpkin image from the Pretty Pumpkins Stamp Set several times. Then I started coloring them with Stamping Blends markers. This is the combination that I loved the most using Pumpkin Pie, Pale Papaya and Soft Succulent markers. Ideas started popping in my head so play time explored another avenue. I started playing with embossing powders and the leaves on various color cardstock. I am more of a copper girl over gold and silver (in the world of paper) – though I do prefer silver jewelry over gold! Its hard for me to naturally think of gold when creating, so this time became all about gold, though I played with all the metallic powders on various colors of cardstock. I really like how the gold played best with the Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. This card front was born from all that playing. I’m a big fan of texture, but I also want a grounding background. Text is always fun to utilize in a background. Out came the Timeworn Type 3D embossing Folder. The perfect texture and it had text. Then I started thinking about the grounding – what would it look like if I spritzed the folder with some Pumpkin Pie ink……well, I liked how it came it out very much. I trimmed the panel down to size with the Stitched rectangle dies, matted it on a piece of Soft Succulent card stock. Then I started playing with the pumpkins and leaves. Gold embossed the Thankful sentiment and here ya go! It was all about curiosity and play.
