Can you believe Valentine’s Day product is already arriving in stores? If I am not mistaken Valentine’s stuff was going out before Christmas had even arrived!!! ….Slow the clocks….
Well, in answer to the world of retail, I have designed a Valentine’s Day card that I am absolutely in love with….it is so pretty. I love it. Things are getting crazy over here, I created a Z-Fold card – a.k.a. Fun Fold card – yes, I did have lots of fun with it.
This card uses a Flirty Flamingo Card Base cut to 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ to create a top fold “tent” style card. The top flap of the card is scored again at 2-3/4″ to create the fun fold part of the card. The Z fold is created with the band at the bottom of the card. The band is cut from Flirty Flamingo at 1–1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ and 2-3/4″. Each flap of the card, is matted with a piece of Whisper White card stock and a piece of From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper. The first piece on a Real Read background features Flirty Flamingo “Foiled” hearts surrounded by scalloped white hearts. The larger Specialty DSP piece is a Real Red “foiled” background with Flirty Flamingo and White dots. These patterns are very pretty and so much fun to work with. The large hearts are cut with both Heart Punches from the Heart Punch pack, from (2) different patterns within this Specialty DSP. They are glued together and then attached to a Stitched Square. Two sentiment boxes are created from Whisper White using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies, the first is left blank for a personal message. The second is stamped with the sentiment “Our Hearts are Meant to be Together” from the Heart to Heart Stamp set. The leaves and stem image, stamped in Old Olive, come from the same stamp set. The little Real Red hearts are left over pieces from using the die in the Stitched to Be Mine Die set. I added a touch of sparkle to the hearts with a touch of Wink of Stella.
The Band is layered with a piece of Whisper White that has been embossed with the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder. cut to 1-1/8″ x 5-3/8″ and 2 more pieces cut to 1-1/8″ x 2-5/8″.
