With this post, I bring you a card created for the CASE the Designer Challenge and Global Design Project #GDP232. CASE = Copy And Selectively Edit.

The card created by Connie Collins is a vertical side open card with the floral accent strip to one side, and a circular floral and matted sentiment element towards the top of the card. I took this design idea, turned it on its side, for a horizontal card design with a top fold.

I love the Mountain Air Bundle. I NEEDED to use this set, I chose to use the mountains with a bit of a tree line. The front row of mountains is die cut in Gorgeous Grape and stamped with the reversible mountain range image in Smoky Slate. The background is die cut in Highland Heather and Purple Posy. These three colors make a perfect color gradient combination for this mountain scene. The Pines in the front are die cut from Old olive, pine tree image is stamped in Old Olive.

The sentiment, “There’s so much to Love about you” from the Abstract Impressions stamp set, is white heat embossed on vellum, then matted with a So Saffron mat, both are die cut from the Painted Label Dies in the Painted Poppies Bundle. All elements are attached to a Balmy Blue strip, they are all then attached to a Whisper White background dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder. The clouds are also from the Mountain Air Bundle. With the panel all together and good to go, the panel is attached to a Whisper White Thick card base. Inside the card I attached a stamped and die cut the pine tree image.

Thanks again for stopping by and spending a bit of your time with me. I hope you enjoyed learning about how this card came together. Hopefully you were even inspired just a bit. The racoon in the Special Someone Stamp set has also won my heart. I have both stamp sets and I am so excited to see the coordinating dies.
