This week at CAS Colours & Sketches, we have a sketch challenge. Can’t wait to see how you are inspired with this challenge. Please do post your creation for this challenge by 6:00pm EST Monday 28 June 2021.

I had so many ideas for this sketch, in the end the strawberries screamed the loudest and longest so they were given center stage this week. Strawberries, an extremely close 2nd to watermelon, one of the iconic fruits of summer.

I used the Sweet Strawberry Bundle to create this card. First I stamped the strawberries using 2 generations of 2 different colors. The ink is Real Red and Poppy Parade. I stamped the outline with full coverage of the ink, then I filled the outline with the 2nd generation of the same color. The Flowers are stamped in Bumblebee also using 2 generations , and the same goes for the leaves, which are stamped in 2 generations of Old Olive. I love the patterned paper, perfect print and color for a summer evening picnic in the park! Everything is punched with the coordinated punch then attached to the card with glue and dimensionals. The sentiment “Thank you” also comes from the Sweet Strawberry stamp set and is stamped in Old Olive as well.
