Since we have a new schedule for the year, I thought I would take this opportunity to remind you that the challenge schedule has changed. This year we’re shifting to a bi-weekly format with a new challenge every two weeks. The first Tuesday of each month we’ll start a color challenge, and the third Tuesday we’ll introduce a sketch challenge. Each of them will be open for two weeks. On the occasion of a fifth Tuesday, there will be a double challenge combining colors with a sketch, and it will last for one week.

Lets get started!

Here we are already into the middle of January, the next “holiday” is coming up fast…..Valentine’s Day! I thought I would just jump in with both feet and get all the cards created I will need for entire family. Trying to work on the stress level and staying ahead of everything else. My son graduates from High School in May – so the next few months I need to stay on top of everything!

This card was really pretty easy to put together – one stamp set, a coordinating punch and then I threw in a 3D Fern embossing folder for a bit of texture. The Pink hearts are stamped in Blushing Bride, the red hearts are stamped in Sweet Sorbet, the leaves are the punched Basic White left overs from punching the hearts. The Basic White punched leaves are bathed in Parakeet Party ink. I used a sponge dauber and Parakeet Party ink to add a little extra dimension to the Parakeet Party 1-1/4″ punched circle fern embossed circles. The sentiment is Memento Black ink. For a bit more interest I used dimensionals to pop up the center cluster and the sentiment.

What a lovely and unusual valentine Shannon! I’ve been seeing lots of the Country Bouquet around lately and it looks so versatile. Love that it comes with a coordinating punch. Your heart flowers are sweet and what a great idea to ground them on the fern circles. Thanks for coming to visit Eva and me – miss you guys at CC&S! Vicky x
