We would love to see what card creation you can bring to life. Please consider, taking a minute to post your card creation in our challenge gallery at CAS Colours & Sketches.

Michal is the first hostess of 2023 at CAS Colours & Sketches. With a new year and a new hostess of the month, also comes a bit of a schedule change at CAS Colours & Sketches. Our challenge will now be a bi-weekly challenge – with a new challenge every two weeks. The first challenge of each month will be a color challenge, and the second one – a sketch challenge. Each of them will go on for two weeks. On the occasion of a fifth Tuesday, there will be a double challenge that will go on for one week.

After finally clearing the holiday fog out of my head, I was finally able to pull a card together for this challenge. To me, this is a very interesting combination of colors, the Blackberry Bliss threw me for a bit of a loop. It is just one of the colors that I either like a lot or very little, making it very difficult for me to work with this color. Finally, a field of flowers came together – the Granny Apple would clearly have to be the stems and leaves, the Cherry Cobbler would be flowers then I thought there could be a dot or two of Blackberry bliss flowers and berries. It is the least used color in this card.

I used an Fern 3D embossed 2″strip of Granny Apple cardstock lays the foundation. I cut a piece of vellum with a Stitched Rectangles Die. Then I stamped some floral images from the Dainty Delight stamp set in Granny Apple Green on Basic White cardstock, coloring the leaves, flowers and berries with Stampin’ Write markers in Granny Apple Green, Cherry Cobbler and Blackberry Bliss and then cut with the coordinating Dainty Delight Die set. The sentiment also comes from the Dainty Delight set, which is stamped in Granny Apple Green also on Basic White Card. I used the Tailor Made Tags Die set to cut the sentiment, however, I had to be creative with the die cutting to get the size and shape I wanted for the sentiment.
