Today I have a card that is for another, new to me, card challenge. This challenge, this is challenge #149 from The Card Concept. They post a new inspiration photo every two weeks. From that Inspiration Photo the options are endless and go as far as your mind can take it. They have a set definition of several design styles for you to use to help classify your creation, just tell them what design style(s) you are shooting for and what you pulled from the inspiration photo. Then they select a winner and a couple of others.

I guess this card falls into the Clean and Layered department? Maybe Clean and Graphic? It is just what came out of my head….

For me the colors, teal and orange/rust, where an immediate draw, then the window and the floral draperies. I have a Stampin’ Up! Set called Welcoming Windows that made certain it was front and center. Then there is a Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper set called Fine Art Designer Series Paper that is the perfect answer to the color scheme in the inspiration photo. We are off to the races now sports fans. The colors I used are Pretty Peacock, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie, Terra Cotta Tile and Crumb Cake. I shaded the window a bit with Light Gray Granite Stampin’ Blends Marker. This card is a bit busier than I am used to creating but the floral pattern in this DSP was absolutely perfect, and had to get in on this. I like what actually ended up glued down. I think in hind sight, I should have stamped the brick and pots in Terra Cotta Tile color rather than Cajun Craze, to offer a bit more continuity in the color scheme, but I am mostly satisfied. What do you think?
