Card Challenges

A Wild Rose

Hey everyone, thanks so much for stopping by!

This is a super fun challenge from Paper Craft Crew. This is the Tic Tac Toe Challenge #342; PCC342. The card you create is determined by the 3 items you select down, across or diagonally. So much fun and so hard to decide which way to go!

So I chose to go straight down the middle. I have fallen in love with the new stamp set To A Wild Rose and the new 2019-2021 InColor – Rococo Rose. Pink is not my favorite color in life, purple is. However, this Rococo Rose struck my fancy the moment I saw it. The decision was made.

The card is fairly simple, but I think it came together very nicely. The card base is Whisper White Thick cut at 5-1/2″ scored at 4-1/4″ creating a top fold card for this design. On a sheet of Whisper White I stamped the 3 step rose image with Rococo Rose. The outline and shadow are done in full strength, while the fill color is stamped off. I masked the 2 stamped flowers and stamped the 2 step leaves with full strength Old Olive. On a scrap of Whisper White I stamped the rose image again and then diecut it with the coordinating die.

I adhered the die cut rose with dimensionals between the 2 stamped roses. I then accented their centers with Faceted Gold Gems. I think that was the perfect finishing touch. The sentiment “It’s your time to shine” is from Daisy Lane, stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and finished off with fish tales at each end. Avery simple card allowing the Roses to “shine”. Once the panel was finished, I attached it to a mat of Rococo Rose, then adhered the matted panel to the card base with fun foam. I love how the support the fun foam provides the front panel, just feels more sturdy.

Thanks so much for stopping by, hope you enjoyed the card. If you have a free moment, hop on over to Paper Craft Crew to learn more about this super fun challenge and see what the Design Team and other designers have created.

I shall return very soon, until then, keep crafting, exploring and creating. See you soon.
