This card popped into my mind and came together so quickly! I love how the idea actually worked out in the end rather than morphing in an absolutely different directions. I think it is so pretty.
This card is really simple to pull together, I seem to really be getting into the grove of clean and simple lately. Kinda crazy, though I do have a card in que for it debut that is at quite the opposite end of the spectrum from this one. I fell into my art journaling mode and created a grungy art journal page kind of card. I think it turned out really cool, my kids even thought it was cool…they are pre/teen – teens….that never happens!
For this card the base is created with Whisper White thick card stock cut to 401/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″ for a standard top folding / tent card. I have also fallen into the tent card mode lately. The mat is a piece of Petal Pink Cardstock, while the front decorative is a piece of Whisper White with the Cherry Blossom image from the Forever Blossoms stamp set, stamped twice in Mint Macaron. On top of the blossom images is the branch of blossoms and leaves image from the same stamp set and die cut with the coordinating die Cherry Blossoms Dies set. The images are rendered with the Petal Pink and Soft Seafoam Stampin’ Blends Combo Sets. Further dimension is added with the Old Olive and Flirty Flamingo Watercolor Pencils.
To finalize the front panel, the sentiment “Always and Forever” is stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Black embossing powder. The colored branch is adhered with mini dimensionals over the previously stamped and colored blossom images on the panel. The now finished front panel is adhered with liquid glue to the Petal Pink Mat, Petal Pink Gold Metallic edged ribbon is tied around the two panels. The finished unit is attached to the card base with liquid adhesive.
As always, the inside is not to be forgotten! Using generational stamping the Cherry Blossom image is stamped in full strength petal pink and then stamped a second time to get the lighter image. The leaf sprig is stamped with 2nd generation Mint Macaron.
